Building a bar into a place people can call theirs.
Kadamba began as a neighbourhood bar in Hyderabad, but there was always the potential for it to mean more. We joined the brand around the launch as its long-term creative partner, helping articulate what it stood for, built its voice and shaped how it continued to show up in the city. Over time, the task became less about communicating another place to drink and more about creating a cultural world people could see themselves within.
The Approach
Rather than build communication around alcohol, offers or the usual codes of nightlife, we looked at Kadamba as a living part of Hyderabad. Its people, neighbourhood, humour, food, music and everyday contradictions became material for the brand. We developed a distinct verbal language and a series of original brand IPs that allow Kadamba to continually participate in culture rather than simply advertise within it.
The Solve
Across ongoing campaigns, programming and storytelling, Kadamba developed a voice recognisably its own: culturally aware, irreverent, warm and inclusive. Recurring IPs gave the brand formats it could continue to build on, while its communication created a personality that stood apart within Hyderabad’s crowded bar landscape. What began as a neighbourhood bar gradually became something broader: a bar where different people, moods and kinds of nights could all find a place to belong.
